Middle School Tryouts

We had our first day of Middle School tryouts yesterday. 34 seventh and eighth graders attended which is a solid number. We will take the next few practices to evaluate and will then divide those players into three teams. I'm extremely excited about the Middle School coaching staff this year and am confident all of the middle school players will improve tons during the season.

Every good Varsity program has a good middle school program which feeds quality players into the High School every year. It's my goal to make the entire SPA program 5th-12th a positive, fun and challenging experience. I am looking to be more involved with the Middle School my third year at SPA so that I can get to know these guys a little bit before they are in the High School, hoping that I can help to influence their development in a positive way. I also want to work with the coaches more closely and help them develop their coaching styles and philosophies.
