Since we don't play again until Jan 8 I decided to throw together an Alumni game at the last second. The Varsity beat the alums 48-47. Evan McMillan hit two free throws with 2.5 seconds to win. The alums played extremely hard and had the boys on the ropes for most of the game. I wouldn't say it was our best performance of the year but it was good for the guys to get up and down the court a little bit.
I thought it was a good experience and I will probably schedule this a little more formally next year and maybe make an event out of it. Thanks to Coach Bennett who did his best to recruit as many guys as possible in a short time frame. I believe they ended up with around 8 former SPA player from the 2003-2009 seasons.
We'll continue to try and get better before our next game vs Breck on Jan 8, 2010.
