The guys are currently in the middle of finals week. We are not actually allowed to have mandatory practice during finals but can have optional practice. We had 15 guys show up for the first optional practice on Monday and will hopefully have a good turnout on Tuesday as well. The academic rigor at SPA is no joke and I would guess that it's more challenging than some colleges. There is no doubt in my mind that every kid who graduates from SPA is more than ready to be successful in any college or university. The goal is to get the basketball program as respected and valued as the academics at SPA. We are on our way!
We play St. Anthony on Friday, who we haven't beat since 2002. They always have a solid team and are well coached. It's our first home game and we would love to see a nice crowd.
Duluth Marshall comes to town on Saturday @ 3:00.
