Blake and Trinity

Blake- We lost to Blake by one last Friday as Kebu Johnson hit a FT with 0.4 seconds left after Josh Gray tied the game 6 seconds earlier. It was an ugly first half for both teams but things picked up in the second half. Blake had about a 10 point lead for most of the game but we came back strong with about 5 minutes left. Both teams played hard on Defense which made for a low scoring game. We had a lot of chances to pull away from Blake but we couldn't convert on some layups and free throws. Some of the younger guys got some good experience in a close game vs a good team which will hopefully payoff in Sections. Unfortunately that was the last home game for our seniors, Sam Dicke and Andrew Bullard.

Sam Dicke had a solid season averaging around 13 points and 9 rebounds a game. Andrew Bullard is a consistent and dependable big man who has been a very calming presence on the court for our young team this year. Both guys have been great the past 3 years and deserve a lot of credit for the past and future success of the program.

Trinity- We lost to Trinity Tuesday night 59-52. Again, effort was not the problem as everyone played extremely hard. Tony Kuplic scored 42 of Trinity 59 points going 15-18 from the free throw line, I probably could have done a better job putting guys in position to shut him down. With that being said we could have easily won the game. We did a good job shutting down their other scorers but gave up a few to many easy baskets off some bad turnovers. We where out shot from the free throw line 24 to 11 which never helps. Josh Gray, Sam Dicke and Spencer Egly all scored double figure and played very well.

Our last regular Season game is Friday at Humbodlt.
