St. Anthony- We played a very good game against the best team in the Tri Metro East division on Tuesday 1/18/11. We lead at half with a great offensive attack and solid defense 28-23, with our leading scorer on the bench with 2 fouls. However we didn't bring that same defensive intensity the second half and we gave up 36 points losing 59-51. Josh Gray had a strong performance with a career high 20 points.
MPA- We played a solid physical game in front of a nice crowd Friday 1/21/11 which resulted in our 5th win of the season 46-41. It was a total team effort as a few guys stepped up in place of Josh Gray who was out with an injury. Spencer Egly lead us with a career high 24 points going to the free throw line 18 times.
Blake- We lost 59-37 Saturday @ Blake. The guys played hard but couldn't keep Blake of the boards and we had trouble making shots. It was clear that the MPA game effected our intensity and enthusiasm at times. Not a very good excuse since Blake had a hard fought game the night before as well. Sam Dicke lead us with 11 points and 7 rebs.
We are home for two games this week vs St. Agnes Tuesday night and Concordia Academy Friday night.
